The Client is a full-service engineering Small Business with certifications as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) by the City of Houston and the Houston Minority Business Council, and as a Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) by the State of Texas. The Client offers a complete suite of engineering services that include Architectural, Civil, Structural, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing, Construction Management, Inspection Services, and Staff Augmentation. The company also provides advanced Disaster Recovery assistance to public and private sector clients.
The Client has provided design and consulting services to many large privately owned firms and government entities, some of which include projects with George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), General Services Administration (GSA), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), etc.
The Problem/Opportunity:
The Client required a candidate with a TxDOT Certification, a Professional Engineering (P.E.) License, and experience of working with the Highway Design Programs. The candidate pool available in the market had experience working with TxDOT but lacked certifications required to work with TxDOT.
