The Client

The Client is an 8(a), Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) and a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) certified business. Headquartered in Maryland, the Client provides services and products in the following areas:

  • Building Equipment Contractors
  • Warehousing and Storage, Commercial and Industrial Machinery
  • Professional Scientific and Technical Services
  • Educational Support Services
  • IT Systems
  • Communications networking services

The Client has worked with Government agencies such as the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), United States Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), and United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to offer convenient and easy-to-use mechanisms for obtaining a wide variety of Facilities Management & Maintenance, Program Management, Healthcare, and Technology Services/Solutions.

The Problem/Opportunity

The Client had a few positions such as Virtualization Engineer, Quality Assurance Specialist, Senior Crystal Reports Developer, and Janitorial positions with the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO), Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), and Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA) based across the Washington, DC area. The Client faced difficulties filling these positions requiring niche skills due to short deadlines – less than 24 hours. Getting the survey sheet filled out and the Right to Represent (RTR) signed by the candidate along with the vaccination proof within a day was also an obstacle for the Client.
