Frequently Asked Questions

What is MAPS and why does it matter now?

MAPS (Marketplace for the Acquisition of Professional Services) is the Army’s next-generation professional services IDIQ designed to consolidate and replace legacy vehicles. With acquisition activity proceeding and industry engagement underway, contractors must now shift from monitoring to preparation.

Is MAPS officially moving forward?

Yes. The Government confirmed in December 2025 that the MAPS acquisition will proceed and hosted an Industry engagement event in January 2026. Contractors should continue tracking updates via SAM.gov while preparing documentation and qualification materials.

Who should attend this webinar?

Business development leaders, proposal managers, contract vehicle strategists, compliance teams, small businesses assessing eligibility, and primes evaluating teaming strategies under MAPS.

Will this webinar cover proposal structure and scoring?

Yes. We will discuss gate criteria, systems and certifications, past performance expectations, Quality Points, confidence ratings, and how documentation strength impacts competitiveness.

Is this session suitable if I did not attend the first MAPS webinar?

Absolutely. We will provide a strategic refresher before diving deeper into proposal readiness and risk considerations.

Will MAPS include opportunities for small businesses?

MAPS is expected to include structured participation pathways for both large and small businesses. This webinar will discuss how structure, pools, and tiers influence positioning for different business categories.

What makes this webinar different from the April 2025 session?

The first session focused on understanding MAPS at a high level. This session focuses on what has changed, how evaluation mechanics impact competitiveness, and what contractors should be doing now as we get closer to the final due date for MAPS to strengthen proposal readiness.
