Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg announced $2.9 billion of funding now available for major infrastructure projects through a combined Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) under President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

In the last 128 days, nearly 100 billion dollars have been pushed out, and another 50 billion dollars are coming out. There are 375 projects in this bill, and 125 are new. In recent weeks an effort has been launched to fix an estimated 15000 bridges around the country. The largest-ever investment has been put forward in the port infrastructure program to move goods more quickly and smoothly.
The 2.9 billion dollar commitment has been made to communities across three programs, Infra, Mega project program (National Infrastructure Project Assistance), and Rural Surface Transportation Grant program like transit rail highway and many bridges.
