GSA Catalog Quick Update: New Options for MAS Product File Management

Aug 11, 2026

The General Services Administration (GSA) continues to improve the FAS Catalog Platform (FCP) by making catalog management more efficient for Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) contractors. Effective June 15, 2026, the Quick Update feature has been enhanced to help vendors address Compliance & Pricing (C&P) Report findings more efficiently while keeping catalog modifications moving through the review process.

This enhancement allows vendors to remove additional categories of flagged items from MAS and BPA catalog actions so that compliant products can continue through GSA’s review process without unnecessary delays.

What’s New for MAS Product Catalogs?

Previously, Quick Update supported removing select flagged items. With this enhancement, vendors can now also remove the following Compliance & Pricing report findings:

1. Missing or Invalid Data

Products with incomplete or invalid information that cannot be matched during market research can now be removed directly through Quick Update. Vendors can correct the product information and submit those items later in a separate catalog action.

Additional details for each item are available in the market_threshold_status column of the Compliance & Pricing Report.

2. Self-Hits Only

These are products for which market research identified pricing only in the vendor’s government catalog and could not locate comparable commercial pricing.

Since these items require manual review by GSA, removing them through Quick Update allows the remaining compliant items to proceed while vendors address these products separately. The removed-item file generated by Quick Update can also serve as the starting point for a future submission.

Additional Enhancements for BPA Catalogs

Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) catalog holders now have additional Quick Update options specifically designed to help maintain consistency between BPA catalogs and their parent MAS contracts.

1. BPA Price Exceeds MAS Pricing

Quick Update can now identify and remove BPA items where the BPA price exceeds the currently awarded MAS price.

Because BPA pricing must never exceed the corresponding MAS pricing—including during Temporary Price Reductions (TPRs)—vendors should review and adjust pricing before resubmitting these items.

2. BPA Item Not Found on MAS

Items appearing in a BPA catalog without a corresponding awarded item on the parent MAS contract can also be removed using Quick Update.

Since every BPA catalog item must already exist on the associated MAS contract, vendors can use the generated removed-items file as the basis for a future Delete action to bring the BPA catalog back into compliance.

How the Quick Update Process Works

Once a Compliance & Pricing Report has been generated for an Add, Baseline, or Change Products action, vendors can:

  1. Navigate to the Review Compliance and Pricing Report section.
  2. Select Review C&P Results Summary.
  3. Click Perform a Quick Update.
  4. Choose one or more categories of flagged items to remove.
  5. Select Apply Updates.

The FAS Catalog Platform automatically creates a separate file containing all removed items. This enables compliant products to continue through GSA’s review process while vendors resolve flagged products independently.

For Change Product actions, vendors should later submit a separate Delete action, if necessary, to permanently remove flagged items from the catalog.

Benefits for MAS Contractors

The expanded Quick Update functionality provides several advantages for contractors managing GSA catalogs:

  • Speeds up catalog modification reviews by removing non-compliant items from the current submission.
  • Reduces delays caused by manual Compliance & Pricing reviews.
  • Simplifies the correction of incomplete or invalid product information.
  • Helps maintain alignment between BPA catalogs and MAS contracts.
  • Improves overall catalog compliance while reducing administrative effort.

Navigating the complexities of the FAS Catalog Platform (FCP) and addressing Compliance & Pricing Report findings can be a resource-intensive challenge for Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) and Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) contractors. While GSA’s expanded Quick Update features offer valuable pathways to accelerate your catalog reviews and maintain strict compliance, managing these updates efficiently requires dedicated expertise and continuous attention to detail.
